Got beat up at work today............................

Well I just got home from work 5 hours early. I was pulling a drug over dose out of a car in the ER parking lot (i'm a critical care paramedic) and the guy woke up and hit me really hard in the chest. He knocked me out of the car backwards and I fell onto my butt and had the wind knocked out of me really bad and I blacked out for a few seconds. I got all checked out and I'm fine, just sore and bruised.......

So I'm home and I took a hot shower and I'm here on the couch mending my battle wounds!!

STUPID PEOPLE who do drugs!!!

Yikes! Sorry to hear that.

You guys have such a hard job. Keep in mind, though, that the rest of us appreciate you!

I have a friend who is a pediatrician--she got kicked in the mouth by a toddler recently, and is going to lose the tooth now. The only good part is that it's covered as a workplace injury! she does love her job, though. Doesn't blame the kid, either, he was very unhappy about what they were trying to do to him, a shot, I think.

Yeah I know Scene safety. But it was a heroin and PCP overdose. He wasn't breathing in the car initially and the heroin must have worn off and the PCP kicked in and he woke up.!
