Got my dress-Fantasia Bridal Center, Rocky Point
Just wanted to tell any Suffolk County brides how great they were...they don't require appts...so yesterday Mom & I headed there.
They have dresses arranged by designer...very smart if you know what you are looking for!
We were asked if we needed help, and Linda, a wonderful saleslady helped us...didn't even blink at how many dresses I wanted to try on...and encouraged me to grab more! She actually suggested I try the dress I ended up buying!! She did a great job picking styles I liked, and she was just soooo nice and patient.
Everyone working there was friendly and laid back...no high pressure or making you feel like you are wasting their time.
So I thought i knew which dress I wanted, even Mom loved the first...until I tried on the one i ended up buying. When i put it on i was like, oh no, this is beautiful! (only because I thought i was finally set on the first one) Then when they told me they had one that just came in, brand new, never been worn for half price....and it was my size....i was really like...great! Now i can't decided.
So I put the new dress on and it fit perfectly...besides needing the boobs taken in of course...but I am short...at 5'...and i swear with my shoes they may need to take an inch off, that's it. I didn't have them with me. My mom loved it, said it looked even better than the first, and everyone else there agreed...I love it...it's simple but with the 'bridey' detail I wanted and way below my budget!!!
My Mom even said it was like fate, because i was supposed to be doing an outdoor art show, but due to the rain I packed it in, then just decided to go shopping, out of the blue, and then this dress just happened to be there in my size and almost perfect length...(the design would get cut off and it would look bad if it was way too long.)
Here's a really horrible pic...it's a Jasmine, in Ivory..the detailing on it is beautiful in person. I'll put better pics up when i get them. Sorry this is so long, but i've been looking for so long it felt like I'd never find the 'one'. UPDATED the pic, put my makeup trial face on my body, that's why it looks kind of odd, but better than before..gotta love PhotoShop!
