Got my E-ring Cleaned

I got it cleaned for the first time yesterday since i got engaged in July!
Needless to say it was dirh-tee...

i cleaned mine with toothpaste last week and it is still sparkling!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of toothpaste? And how do you clean it with toothpaste? Doesn't it get stuck in the ring?
