Got my first response card, but this is a bit much!!

Original post by thefourth

A friend of FH replied yes...and wrote in that he and his wife will be attending...with his TWIN girls (4 months) and 3 year old son.

I never said that I didn't want children, but this is a bit too much, don't you think? I guess I should just plan on seating them at a table with extra seats??

It was even more annoying because this is what he wrote on his response card:

2 accepts with pleasure
(actually, 2 adults, 1 toddler, and 2 infants).

Can you believe it? At first I laughed, thinking it was a joke!

Ha ha.....I had one of FH's family friends, who is a joker, reply that 23 persons will attend!

Too bad this guy is being serious...

And I'm getting extra upset because FH doesn't want to talk to him. He just said, oh, he's just like that.

Grrr...

If you allow them to bring their kids, you are opening yourself to a whole lot of trouble w/ other couples who brought kids. DONT WAIT. Call them ASAP so they cant say tehy couldnt find a babysitter

I was going to say the same thing. We invited alot of kids because we had to but for those that werent immediate family we didnt and there were a few that asked if their kids could attend and we said there wasn't any room. If you break the rule for one then you'll feel bad if you dont break it for others. Just tell him you dont have any extra room and you planned accordingly.

Wow, that is very rude! You need to call them and explain because that is ridiculous. It's a wedding not a day care center.

Good luck

I would call them and tell them that you need to keep the number to a limit and you are not having children at the wedding...that is so rude of them, i wouldn't wait i'd call right away and make it clear..there is no reason for babies to be at the wedding

Nope, the invite was address to Mr. and Mrs. on the outer envelope and to John and Jane Smith on the inside.

Not to sound harsh, but I would call them and politely tell them that their children were not invited.
