My wedding isn't until 3months away, but my wonderful boss who's leaving the company at the end of this month sent me a wedding gift off of my registry.
I thought that was really thoughtful of him, and I'm not sure what the proper protocol is as far as giving him a Thank you card, so do I wait till after my wedding to send him a thank you card, or do i send one right away?
How do I handle this?

i read somewhere that thank you cards should be sent as soon as possible after receiving a gift, even if the gift is given prior to the wedding.

Do you then send another one after the wedding when you get your new monogram or photo thank you cards??
