Went to Lillettes on Saturday after work and worked with Carol and I think the owner's name was Donna. They were great! It was the first dress I tried on and I just knew it was the one. My aunt and my bf made me try the other dresses on but I knew It's the Maggie Mona Lisa Royale I have to call in a week to get a delivery date. Cant wait to try it on again The only problem I seemed to have at the shop was sizing. Im 5'6 and they had me order a petite so I wouldnt need it hemmed and save the border on the bottom. It took forever to make that decision and I also dont plan on wearing heels all night which seemed to be a problem? Do you think it would be a problem to have the dress taken up an extra inch or 1/2 in. so I wont destroy the dress during the reception once I take my heels off?
I got that one too!! It's just so beautiful! I ordered mine in extra short (6' off) but i don't think i'll be taking my shoes off... I would say wait until it comes in and you find your shoes to see how much they would shorten it... But again, congrats on finding THE dress!

Congrats its beautiful. I have to say I have gotten several dresses there and they always were right on target with sizing so I would definatley trust them.
But I agree -- wait to get your shoes.

The gown is beautiful!!!!! I don't think the gown length should be a problem. I'm 5'6' too but what they did for me was, they measured me from hallow to hem and then submitted that measurement to Demetrios to make my gown to the correct length. They didn't give you that option

Honestly, there was so much going on I remember them telling me something about ordering it from Maggie at a certain length but I know they said they were ordering it petite so I wouldnt have to have it hemmed. Im def. not buying shoes until the dress comes in but I know I'll have a heel of atleast 2in and then to put on slippers is a big deal they were telling me.

if you dont want to wear heels throughout why dont u try those high flipflops really comfortable and it will add height something like this
If the gown needs to be shortened, the skirt will be separated from the bodice and lifted, then sewn back on. The skirt is never hemmed if there is beadwork or lace that cannot be removed on the edge.
