I just got my invitations and I love them! I also am dreading addressing them though. What is everyone doing ? I know labels would be allot easier but I have read on other sites that it is rude not to hand address the envelopes. If I hand write them should I just do it in my neatest writing or find a calligrapher?

Re: Got my invitations!
We found a really nice font with a decorative scroll for the top and bottom and printed them right on the envelopes. I think if it's a fancy font and not something you use at work it is ok.

Re: Got my invitations!
One of my friends has a beautiful handwriting. SHe's going to use a calligraphy pen to address the envelopes. Mind you, she's not writing them in calligraphy. SImply using a calligraphy pen makes them look so pretty. Try buying one and playing around on paper to see if you like the look with your handwriting.

This! I did the same thing and it came out very nice. have to have patience though.
I did labels on the outside and calligraphy on the inside.

rosatemp would you mind telling me who you are using and what they charge? If its inexpensive I would much rather save myself the aggravation! Otherwise I will buy myself a calligraphy pen and try playing around with it I guess, my hand hurts just thinking about it.

Im printing my envelopes myself and its been kinda frustrating because I have lined envelopes so i have been getting paper jams and stuff! I have about 50 more to do!
They do look great though, I used Edwardian Script in WORD
