Got some political mail with...

...my wedding announcement in it

Some local politician sent us a congratulations card that said 'I heard the news...' and on the inside she had cut and pasted our wedding announcement. It was sent to DH's parents' house. I need to ask my mom if I got one there too. It was scary. I guess she looked up our parents names and if they were in the phone book, she sent us a congrats. Scary....

Um, that's actually really creepy. Do you or FH parents know this person?

I guess the politician is just trying to be nice and show she's 'into interacting with the community'.

I wouldn't worry about it. Although a card saying 'I read your announcement and thought I'd send a card' would have been less creepier than cutting out the announcement.

We don't know her. I guess what was weird was that she looked up DH's parents' address to send this.

I don't think she meant harm, but it was weird nonetheless

I wonder if the same politician sent to both of us. Maureen O' something? She sent us an engagement congratulatory card and we are not listed anywhere. I think she sent something when I graduated from college too. Odd!
