We reserved the hall before we left on vacation, but after being away, I am so disoriented, I dont know what to do next- what did everyone else do after getting the hall? any kind of order to this wedding planning thing? tia

We just booked our hall too. We are doing Photography, DJ and Florist next. If you are having a lot of OOT guest you should also block some hotel rooms and send STD's. hth

First off congrats and what hall did you book?
Do you need a church or are you having the ceremony at the hall? If you need a church, that should definetly be next.
I think photo/video books up the fastest so I would start w/ that. Flowers, dj, and limos you could wait on but photo definetly goes fast.

Do your research on photog, videog, lbands, ook at magazines for dresses etc...

yes! lol all of a sudden they caved on a lot of the stuff- so I am a Sans Souci bride lol

well i did everything backwards! lol i booked my photo video limos all before i booked the hall lol then i booked the church and then the dj. I dont think there is any order you have to go by

After we booked the RH, we booked the church. Then I think the most important vendors to book ar the band/dj and photo/video. Good luck and congrats on booking your RH!

Are you getting married at a church, temple, etc or the hall? Our next move was that...ifthis does not apply, I would say, photography and music...that is what we did

If you're having your ceremony there, then you're fine, if not find a church ASAP. If that's taken care of look at photographers & videographers next.

Then start researching the major vendors: photo/video, flowers, dj

Congrats! After the hall we booked the DJ cause I knew we wanted Bravura. Then we started going to photogs recommended by the hall.

i did it like this: Church Hall DJ Photo/Video Florist Dress Limo BM/FG dresses
etc.
and i had that all done before my 1.5 year mark! but i am crazy like that!
