I was going to get married in October 2007, but then we went for January 2008. I wanted a strapless dress, but I don't know about stapless in Janary (I am cold in the Summer ) Everyone says it does not matter, but I think it would looks weird. What do you guys think?

Re: Gown advice
You should go for it. You'll be indoors most of the time and when you are outdoors, you can always accessorize with a bridal cape or something else to keep yourself warm.

Re: Gown advice
I agree.....there are so many beautiful styles of bridal capes out there right now. And with a strapless gown......that will even look more elegant! I say go for it!

Re: Gown advice
I have strapless in Nov. I dont' think it matters. I swore that I wasn't going to get strapless, but I fell in love with my dress.

Re: Gown advice
I think strapless is fine for winter. If you look at the party dresses out now they're all strapless too.
I am doing strapless in Nov as well and I have been told that you are on such an adrenaline high that you will not be cold at all...
and I am always cold

Re: Gown advice
Strapless is fine. I was part of a wedding in December where the bride wore a faux fur cape over her strapless. BUT, she decided to wear the cape in her pictures and we were all freezing our butts off in our strapless gowns. So, if you want to get a coverup, that's fine. But think of your BMs and what they'll be wearing if you want outdoor pictures.

Strapless is fine in the winter...I am not a winter bride so much (march) but I am wearing strapless...You are not outside too much that day & you can always purchase a nice coat to go with the dress!

Re: Gown advice
I think you should wear strapless if you want to wear strapless-though I recommend getting yourself something for outside but otherwise-I dont think it would look weird
