Ok so I started looking at gowns, and I was just wondering-what are the average costs of alterations? The place I was looking at said that they have a 250 cap for alterations, and a 250 cap for the bustle. Is this good? Normal? I'm lost!

Re: Gown Alterations
$250 cap for alterations is about average and pretty good. I paid $525 i think but i do know most other places are capped at around $250-350.
For bustle i think that might seen alot not sure. My alterations were capped at $525 but that did include bustle. However alot of girls i see on here paid about $125-150 for bustle but depends on how many points you have bc the price is usually by each point. For example $25 for each point.

Re: Gown Alterations
I think mine were capped at $250...however they did my hem for free and everything else was $100 and bustle cost about 150. So I spent $250 total. (I needed dress taken out under bust and taken in at hips).

I can't remember what my cap was, but I think the price you were quoted for alterations is good, but $250 for the bustle definitely seems high.
