Gown issue

Gown issue

I'm having a Bridezilla moment. I ordered my gown last Monday - in ivory - but now I'm thinking I want white. Do you think the bridal shop already put in the order-and if they did do you think they can back it out? It takes soo many months for the gown to come in that I doubt the designer has already started making it!! HELP!

You can always call and ask, but take a deep breath and relax for a minute. Why are you changing your mind? White and ivory look pretty identical in pictures - you just need to choose the shade that flatters your skin tone the most. Bright white does not flatter most people. You ordered your dress one way because you loved it in the store - try not to second guess yourself!

well - the ivory looked very nice with my skin tone- but its going to be such a pain to try and match everything to ivory. I'm hearing stories about the dress looking dirty - and how some girls had trouble finding a veil.
Also its hard enough to find flowers when I have navy blue BM dresses - and now if I have ivory flowers they may look 'wilty'. :(

Wow thats a tough call. You could always carry a coloured flower, that way it wont look dirty and ivory and navy look beautiful together

and you can make an ivory veil if you cannot find one. Or ask if the store you purchased your dress at could keep an eye out for you.

I hope that what ever decision you make you are happy with it in the end

ivory dresses don't look dirty. i mean i guess it depends on the shade of ivory, but i gotta tell ya... ivory is a much more flattering color on most people.

finding a veil shouldnt be hard at all! so many brides are opting to go with ivory these days that ivory accesories are popping up everywhere.

if you loved your gown, but are now worrying about little details b/c other people put ideas in your head, go back and try on the dress, if the dress was in ivory.

dont make any rash decisions b/c of other people.

ivory and navy go lovely together

I would stick with ivory. Sometimes a pure white gown doesn't look as good with some skin tones. Also, most white flowers are actually a little more ivory, I am thinking of roses for example.

I think ivory and navy will look really nice together - bright white might look a little nautical.

just ask for ivory flowers they do have them and you can mix them with bright white and no one really can tell. Most fg dresses come in ivory just get a swatch of your dress and have it on yuo when you go out shopping or book flowers. That is what I did.

I have a ivory gown and was told by everyone if I got pure white I would be a ghost and honestly i did look transparent in white gowns.

Ivory/Gold are warm colors and flatter light skin tones and certain hair colors. It also makes a glow feel to your cheeks for most people (not usually people of darker complextions).

I would call the shop and ask to see a swatch again or try the dress on. I am sure they can switch the color now but they might not do it in principle since you placed the order last week and don't want to be bothered switching paper work. Not sure though.
