I called 2 bridal shops and inquired about long sleeved dresses (my wedding is in March) I was told similar things from both. That they dont carry alot of long sleeved dresses, possibly they can add a sleeve (depending on the dress). does anyone know why I am having this response? and possibly where I can actually shop for sleeved dresses??
Sarah, that is definitely going on my list!!! It's hystarical!!!...so fitting...
I was worried about being cold but I wasn't. Not until 7PMish...And I took most of my photos outside. And I was really glad I didn't have sleeves when I was dancing up a storm! :)
some other folks were a little chilly - but I was so excited I didn't even notice.....You can always get a really nice wrap to cover you while you're outdoors......

Thanks for all the responses. I was just having one of those "oh no" moments. Everyone is right. Sleeveless is an option. I actually do LOVE alot of the sleeveless gowns but there is no way I can really know until I go and start shopping. Truthfully, I love alot of stuff I see so I will keep seeking the advice of all the other wise brides here :-)
I was just invited to a friend's bridal shower. She has a wide range of prices to spend for things on her registry. How much should I spend? I don't want to look cheap, but it's really my husband's friend's fiancee, and I have no idea how much to spend. It's been SO long since I've been to one, I have no idea what's expected of me (gift-wise). Thank you.

I like the advanced gown search on weddingchannel.com a lot. You can put in long sleeves or anything and it will show you pictures with designer info. I found my long sleeve gown in a bridal magazine. I asked 5 different places on the Island if they had it or something similar. I got similar reponses - that they don't carry many long sleeved gowns. I went to a store in the City advertised on the ad they had it and I fell in love with it. The gown also came up when I did the search on the weddingchannel.com.
Good luck.
Our reception site recommended Body Rock and Ultimate Starlite. Haven't spoken with them yet but would welcome comments if anyone knows them.
