Re: Gown situation
most shops say 3-4 months for delivery anyway so we have plenty of time.
i called one designer & they said if u order now it may take a bit longer because production is slower around holiday season.

I wouldn't quote that 3-4 month. Between my friends/family who have been recently married, friends planning now and myself, none of us were told to order our dresses in a short amount of time like that! We were all told give it AT LEAST 10-12 months. If you are ordering a custom-made gown or a designer that takes a while to create a gown, I'd order it with more than a year to spare. JMO

depends on the designer, and dont forget you also need time for the alterations...some take 6 months, others take 8-10 months and some a year

Re: Gown situation
I'm planning on ordering a Maggie Sottero and they can take 9-12 months. That's why I need to decide VERY soon! It depends on what/who you order!

Re: Gown situation
my day is in May and I just ordered last week, trust me if FH didn't keep saying that i'm gonna end up marrying him in a house dress and flip flops I would've waited even longer..lol. I guess it depends on the designer how long it takes to get in so if you have a particular one in mind maybe you could check to see how long it takes??

Not to get you scared, but your wedding is the day after me and when I ordered my gown in late August they said they were glad I didn't wait any longer.....they say to leave extra time for delivery and of course alterations. At this point they told me I HAVE to even have the BP gowns ordered by the end of December/early January the latest....and that's the BP!!!! Get on that girl lol

Re: Gown situation
I only went looking one day so far. I should really get going on it because I know that I will need to try on 100 dresses just to be sure.
