hmm, when I ordered mine, i usually wear a 12-14, and they ordered an 18. I think its somethign like 2 sizes bigger than your street size usually, depending on the manufacturer

I ordered my dress 2 sizes bigger than I normally wear...which is really annoying lol

I went up 3 sizes...mainly b/c of the waist in the dress. Although I am usually between two sizes in normal clothes.

PS - A lot of designers charge an extra 20% if you go over a size 12. I was technically a size 14, but I ordered the 12, since it was only a difference of an inch in the waist.

It makes me feel sooo gross knowing I have to go up 2 sizes for my wedding dress They should make the gowns run small so brides feel good about their bodies

(if the dresses are supposed to be 2 sizes bigger than what you are I think I have been wearing super huge clothes for several years now...)

My dress size wasnt any different from my street size which i thought was peculiar...Did any one else have that?

I'm with you Gabbie, i was actually shocked at the size dresses that fit me when i tried them on, especially because i had heard the horror stories of having to order them in such bigger sizes. So i was pleasantly surprised!!!!!

Same here! The dresses I tried on were true to size. Do you think body shape has anything to do with it? At RK they put me in a 14 and it was falling off of me,...but then again I am not a 14 I am always between a 10-12...

I think it depends on the cut and he designer.

Definetely depends on the designer. I am a street 6 or ocassionally 8 and I ordered my Lazaro in a 12. I am sure it will be big but better safe than sorry.

Yes! I feel so much better! My dress is my street size (or close to it). Its a demtrosis trunk show dress- i saw the measurement chart and it fit (although i think she was nice on the waist measurement). It just worries me that it will be too small! Need to work out...

although, i went to a sample sale and tired on a dress in my actual size and it fit (a little tight) and it was a high end designer (christos)..makes me feel a little better, but won't feel relieved until i put my dress on!
