Gown trouble

Gown trouble

Over the weekend I tried on gowns at the Bridal Suite in Centereach. I think I found the one. The only problem is I can't find it any where else. It's not advertised on the Davinci website and it isn't in their catalog. I called and they said that even the vendors don't have picture of some of the dresses they sell.
Now I'm frustrated and am not even sure if I would purchase the dress for that reason alone.

See my mother lives in Chicago and is coming home this weekend to look at dresses with me. But since Bridal shops are closed on Sundays in December and my wedding is in April, I need to order now! By eliminating ones by picture would save on some of our time.

The gown is a satin, strapless, ALine, with a Chapel train. The waist (starting right under the breast) all the way around to the back is bead work (not pattern like). The train has only a little bead work in spots.

Can anyone help with a picture?

I also got mine there, and you can take pictures. could you go in before she gets here and take a picture of you in it and then show her?

Best of luck!

Re: Gown trouble

I asked to take a picture while I was in the dress (my MOH brought a camera), the woman wouldn't let me. That's actually what sparked me to look for it elsewhere.

The number I have is fron the store tag, it is 2230V. (I believe this is the stores #) I tried looking for other number inside the dress but there were to many!

Did you try the gown search on the knot? That's how I found mine. Or the wedding channel website.

I did that too, I feel I have exhausted all possibly ways of finding it. Except through word of mouth!

Could it be one that is being discontinued or from last year's line?

Re: Gown trouble

I had a Davinci gown as well and purchased mine from the bridal suite of centereach.
My gown was also not on there website as well. It was no where on line as a matter a fact.
Explain your situation to them and see if they will allow you take a pic of this one gown to show your mother.

Re: Gown trouble

Is it a new dress-- a 2005 style? If so, you could try browsing the runway shots on ModernBride or First View. Sometimes they have pictures of dresses that haven't been photographed for the designer's Web site yet.

Do you have a friend who has a camera phone? Maybe she could take a covert snapshot of you without the evil salon ladies noticing...

I also got my dress and my girls dresses there. We've just taken front and back pics of them ourselves.

firstview.com is a site that carries photos of runway shows. You have to pay 5.95 (I think) to look at the pictures, but it was the only way I was able to find a shot of my dress.

Good luck!
