Pronovias on 52nd between 5th and Madison. The Pronovias line is priced around that range.

Wedding Atelier on Fifth Avenue, between 17 & 18 Streets. I LOVE them. Very personal service, and lovely atmosphere. Top notch alterations, too. By the looks of the place, you'd think their dresses are super high end, but I tried on numerous that were in your range.

I found mine at Demetrios, the salon inside Macy's at Herald Square. Was far less than $2000, but they have dresses in all ranges
