I read that the Graco Snugride carseat was top rated by Consumer Reports. Does anyone know if it was all the models of Snugride or only one? BRU has 5 snugride models ranging from $70-$100. I'm not clear on what the difference is b/t these variations besides for the color/design.

I think some of the designs cost more-$10 differences but I think the low end would be the non-LATCH seats and the high end would be LATCH seats.

We have a Snugride and it's great. Sadly, I know Luke is going to be too long for it as of next week when my ped tells me he is taller than 26 inches. He's no where near the weight but he's a longie.

the price difference has more to do with whether it is LATCH or not. LATCH only really works in new cars that have this capablity. We have a snugride and I love it...don't have to worry about carrying a little one when it is icy/snowy out...stays asleep in it once the car is moving!
I use it in conjunction with my Chicco stroller.

We just bought ours and if I remember correctly, another difference was 3 point or 5 point harness system. The 5 point was a little more expensive but recommended by most.
