GRANDMA MADE IT THROUGH THE SURGERY Added picture of gma!!
here is a picture of grandma... its from superbowl sunday this year (its the best one i have on my laptop) wanted you all to see her!!

UPDATE 2/27 830PM
Grandma did well in her surgery. St. Francis is such a great hospital!!!!!!!! she is doing well, her color is great . we were able to see her 45 min after they finished surgery! she is on a breathing tube to help her breathing to be more constant and consistent since she had anesetia. They attempted to see if she was ready to take it out, but she really wasnt fully alert yet - due to the anestia PLUS my grandma had a kidney removed 2 years ago so that slows the process of it getting out of her system. So they gave her a seditive so that she is comfortable and to give time for the anetesia to get out of her system and then hopefully she will be able to have it taken out. But she was moving around and grabbing out hand!!!!
just need to rave a bit about SFH - she finished surgery the Dr. called to the waiting room right away and right on time!!!! He said she did well in surgery but she will be on a 24 hour close watch, the 1st 24 hours are the most critical!
Now in the past when she s had surgeries we had to wait over 2 hours for her to 'be ready to see people' then they only let 2 people in at a time, every patient is right ontop of each other, you could only stay for 20-30 min and you'd have to wait another 2 to see her again. At St Francis their ICU is huge, patients are in their ownwith nurses assigned to just them and they let ALL of us in to see her.. and there were 10 of us!
thank u all so much for your prayers! It is hard seeing her all hooked up to stuff and not talking to us right after like she usually does but she is a fighter and i know she will be fine!!!

UPDATE 2/27 11AM
I just got back from the hospital - going back in about 1 hour.
Grandma finally went in to the operating room at 8am. The surgery should be about 5 hours. she was in great spirts, looking good and feeling good. I cant believe how strong a person she is. she is amazing. She was laughing and joking and she is knows so much info. She knows what to ask the drs and what they are giving her and understands everything she has to ahve done.
She is having bypass surgery on 2 possibly 3 arteries (which i didnt know until recently) and will be having the valve replaced with a cows valve (dr said its more durable than pig one) We spoke to the dr. (he was really nice and patient with us) he went over the risks and answered all our questions.
He is giving her good odds and says that 85-90% she will do fine (that made me feel a lot better).
I will update later tonight or tomorrow when i see how she is when she gets out of surgery and get home from the hospital.
Again thank you all for your support!

UPDATE 2/25 - they postponed her suergery until Wednesday (at least for now) they found an infection in her urine (im guessint a UTI maybe) so they dont want to take any chances since they will be doing heart surgery.
Thank you all for your well wishes - i will let you know Wed

OMG thank you all so much
I did the update before i realized that all of you posted this evening sending prayers. I truly appreciate it. I hate going through this.
Its so much harder to because i lost my other grandma on this day (today) 2 years ago
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm so nervous!!!!
To make a long story short.. Her arteries are 80-90% blocked, at first they told her that nothing can be done (based on her age - she is 86) then she met with another Dr. who said that their was something she could have done but she would have to make the decision to have it done. but then she started having really bad shortness of breath and couldnt walk without taking a break. She went to the Dr. on Fri and he sent her straight to St Francis and told her she has to have surgery.
They will be doing Bipass surgery and replacing one of her vavles with a pig valve.
Im so scared. I hope she is going to be okay. and then of course my family members are telling me that she is having this done to be at my wedding - which makes me feel terrible. But i know that she is soooo strong and wants to have this done. She has been through so much, 6 hip replacements, pacemaker, cancer cysts in her bladder and a kiddney removed. this one is the scariest!!!
Im also so upset that they wont be doing the surgery until 3:00 so she will be up all day thinking about this and being nervous!!!!
Keep her in your prayers for me please!! thank you!![]()
