Graphic Artists--please share what programs you use

I thought I'd start this thread since we non-graphic artists have been seeing a lot of the products of your talent recently. If you wouldn't mind sharing what programs you all use and whether a novice could easily navigate them, I'm sure we'd all really appreciate it. Anything to make our own DIY attempts go a little more smoothly. Thanks a bunch!

I am not a pro at this at all but my best friend is... she uses Paint Shop Pro version 8.

Here is a sample of her work: Jennie's World

Re: Graphic Artists--please share what programs you use

I used Illustrator, Photoshop for the monograms, the layouts I use Pagemaker or Quark but they all tend to be on the expensive side. If you DIY need any help dont hesitate to FM and I can help you as much as I can in word.
