Gratuity....

We did not want a tip cup for the bartendars so we asked our BM how much they normally make at a wedding for our size. We added $50 to that and told them to take the tip cup down. Our guests gave them money but we requested no cup. DH & I gave our BM extra money at the very end of the night, $200. And my parents gave the waitress who served DH & I at our sweetheart table $100. The server in our CH room was given $50 extra and she felt bad taking it because she said that DH & I were the easiest going couple she had dealt with!!!!!!!!!!
In all honesty gratuities are at your discression.

Amanda, I really like your idea about the no tip cup. I actually hate when I walk up to get a drink and I feel obligated to give a single or two. It's not the money itself...it's that I don't carry money normally especially not singles and when I'm going to get a drink I don't have my purse with me.

I'm stealing your idea. I hope you don't mind.

Our RH has gratuity added into the final price. Do we tip extra??? We already plan on tipping our bridal attendents around $100 is that enough??

ours included it also, BUT only for bartenders and waitstaff....not maitred or BA....so we def tipped them

Listen to this story about tipping...My florist's daughter just got married. She married someone from Ireland so all the family was here. They had never been to a wedding here in USA. They continued to go to the bar & were putting $5.00 in the tip cup every time...until someone finally told them the drinks were free. No need to tip.
OMG..I couldn't believe it. It was solved pretty early but they were still upset that the Irish people didn't need to do all that.
