Crashing! It really is an amazing book! One of my favorites. There is a sequel, too!

Sounds RIGHT up my alley.

Best historical fiction novel EVER is New York: A Novel by Edward Rutherfurd...900 some odd pages of the BEST historical fiction I've ever read!

I've been wanting to read it and I just head they're making it into a miniseries on Starz!

I love historical novels - will definitely pick this one up.

If anyone is interested, read 'Shanghai Girls' by Lisa See (I think). I read it on the way home from the honeymoon - the whole book. It was a pretty easy read, but also historical and very touching about the relationship between sisters.
