Great DJ

We have Eddie booked for our wedding, and it's great to hear feedback from someone who got to see him perform live. We met with three djs, including the popular (according to this site) Spin Around Sound. We felt most comfortable and confident with Eddie. He really has a great sense of music and making it all flow, as evident on his demo audio tape and in discussing music with him.

Yes, Eddie is with Parameters. He doesn't really offer set packages displayed in brochures. He likes to discuss things first and determine your needs to establish a price. We were very satisfied with the price he gave us, which was cheaper than Spin Around Sound.

Just keep in mind, he is a one man show, which was perfect for us, since we don't really want an m/c to totally dominate the affair. We feel the music should run the show with light m/c-ing. He explained to us that he prefers to work alone because that's how he works best. Kind of like the saying, 'too many cooks in the kitchen' I guess. But I completely respect that, because I am the same way.

Sounds like we took a similar set-up. We are also going simple with the lights. He's played at John Anthony's before (back when it was a night club as well), so he's familar with the rooms and knew exactly what kind of lighting would work. We also went with the basic prop package. We are having several songs played that were in the original Blues Brothers movie (Shake a Tailfeather, Someone to Love and Jail House Rock, plus the Blues Brothers theme), so the dark sun glasses are going to be great!! Now, if only I could find a few of those black hats they wear!! :)

I haven't really looked for those hats yet. But I will be on a search for them. Hopefully they won't be too expensive, so I can get a bunch. Thanks for the suggestions and your offer on the search.

They are obviously affraid that people will smoke even if ashtrays are not provided, possibly causing damage to thier property. That does not in any way excuse the rude boorish behavior of the management and staff.

I know that the Villa Victor is going to start a major renovation sometime around now. They were not cheap when I spoke with them(before they actually had plans to show us for the renovations) and they said that they prices would be going up alot.
