GREAT Dog Run (Fenced In)
I saw a post asking where Dog Runs in Suffolk County are located...
So, I thought I would share our FAVORITE dog run-- Charlotte loves it and it's all fenced in so we don't have to worry...
There's a fantastic dog run in Huntington!!!
It is in Sweet Hills State Park...
Take Route 110 SOUTH (if you are coming from Jericho or the Walt Whitman Mall) and you will need to make a RIGHT just before the entrance ramp to the Northern State WEST... It's a road called GWYNNE Road. Do NOT get on the Northern State- make the right JUST before the West entrance ramp and take that straight down-- bear right at the first intersection (no light but you'll see the entrance to the park)... go right like I said and drive straight-- you'll see a dog park on your right hand side almost immediately.
It is ALL fenced in with water fountains and everything-- you can just let your dogs run FREE with other dogs. It is BIG too!!
If you take the Northern State you would get off at the Exit for Route 110 NORTH and as soon as you get off you need to turn around at the first opporunity (which will be the very first traffic light off the exit ramp)... Turn around so that you are going South on Route 110 and make a right onto Gwynne Road (right before the West Entrance ramp) like I wrote above and then follow the rest of the directions.
Hope that helps!! It's awesome!!
