so my mommy came home today with the new martha stewart weddings mag. and they have some really cute ideas!!!
1. little personal sized pies for favors!! in a wax lined bag with a personalized stamp on the front!.. totally cute and a gret addition to OOT boxes!!!
2. a pin up board at sign in table with little baggies of candy in your wedding colors. they can take them when they come to sign in! so cute!!

no need for creativity.. go to your fav. local bakery and have them do the dirty work and u take credit for it!! thats what i do best!

great idea!!! maybe since i'm having a 4th of july wedding i can do mini apple pies!!!
i'm not doing anything red/white/blue or 4th of july theme except for my favors. and this seems like a cute idea!!

Berry Basket Favors
Send wedding guests home with fresh strawberries and scones to enjoy the morning after. Wrap scones in cellophane, and line a wooden berry basket with parchment paper. Tie on a note stamped with a strawberry design.

Mini-Pie Favors
Scrumptious tartlets from a bakery in custom-stamped bags make for tasty treats that are easy as pie to assemble in advance. Miniature pecan pies, which will stay fresh longer than most desserts, can be picked up at the store or delivered to you a day before the wedding. When you receive the pies, bridesmaids or moms can add extra pecans, tuck them into wax-lined bags (ours are decorated with a custom-made rubber stamp), and seal them with double-sided tape. A tray set by the coat check is sure to be emptied as guests take their leave.
One of my BM's just bought me that magazine. I love the pin up board!!! I have that page paper clipped

Cherry Favors
Each of these pretty sacks holds a handful of juicy red cherries, the perfect snack to send home with guests after a garden reception or picnic shower. Buy a bunch of glassine bags, and snip the tops with scalloped scissors. Fill each bag with enough cherries, or any small fruit, so they peek out over the top. Turn in the corners underneath the bags to help them stand up. Display the finished bags on wooden crates set on a table near the exit.
