Great remedy for gassy baby

My son is on similac advanced with iron, although he tolerates it well it does give him gas pains. I give him mylicon drops after a bottle but they dont always work, well a friend of my moms told me to add 2 well cleaned mint leaves to the water that I boil for his formula, I was apprehensive at first but I figured let me try 1 bottle to see how he handles it. I just finished feeding him and he is his happy little self, no pains, no red face, no straining to pass gas.

Or you can use Chammomile tea, 4 oz of chammomile tea, swish around the tea bag until the water becomes tinted and add 1/2 tsp of brown sugar, it worked WONDERS for my gassy baby.

My nephew had very bad gas, and my sister's mother in-law did that for her too, but it didnt work for him at all, she gave him regular gas drops and hes fine. I guess it will work for some babys.

You have to be careful with mylicon drops if over used. Mylicon has Magnesium in it, which if ingested in large amounts over time can cause muscles to attrophy and imped muscular development.

A very good friend of mine had a very GASSY and acid reflux baby. The baby received too much Magnesium through mylicon and Mylanta. This impeded her muscular development.
