Great TASTING wedding cake

Original post by JenL

Ok, so I picked up our cake samples today and I wasn't at all impressed. You know how a lot of people (me) say they don't like bakery cake? I'm one of those people. I despise that fake 'buttercream'. Is it wrong for me to want a cake that's pretty AND tastes amazing?

Any bakery suggestions that won't break the bank?

Thanks!!

Try Dortini's. At my tasting everything was so good it was hard for me to make up mind.

FH swears on dortoni's.

Personally, I feel costco and BJ's cakes are the best 'bakery' ones I've ever had

My dad got a BJs cake for my moms bday last week (in my head I was like uh oh), it was so delicious!!

No we didn't know what we wanted. I thought we were going to be able to taste different things to decide, but the woman just sat there and waited for us to tell her what we wanted, although we had no idea what anything tasted like. She didn't even offer to have us taste anything. Very disappointed.

Very strange...we were able to taste several different combinations when we went. Sorry you didn't get to enjoy it!
