I think they sound low too BUT I did notice one of the people who commented was a large band company in NYC.


Can I be devil's advocate here - I DO NOT NECESSARILY BELIVE THIS - just asking for interesting thought:

The tipping we do here is based on what - vendors who tells us what is right (who are the ones benefiting so they aren't going to say ohhh no you don't have to give me anything) or other brides who 'might' be as naive as the rest of us and not really know either - so how do we know WHICH of these tipping options is the right OR the wrong one?

We based our tips on the level of service we expected vs. what we got and what we paid for the service.

You go to TGI Fridays and tip $8 but go to an expensive restaurant and tip $30 - they are doing the same thing.

Our DJ/MC far exceeded our expectations and quite honestly I would have felt cheap giving them $25 because we felt they deserved/earned more.

We tip the delivery guy from the diner when we order take out $5, how can I give the same to the flower people that decorate our wedding?
