Great way to start off the New Year!!! (sorry long..)

Ok so FH and I live in an apartment building that is owned by the Real Estate Management company that FH works for. We've been waiting for a 2 bedroom to become available in our building for like over a year. I kept telling him that if one wasnt available before our wedding then we're moving out and into another building or a home that has at least 2 bedrooms. the 1 bedroom we're in now is wayyyyyy to small for us.
So cut back a few months..FH was inspecting a few of the apartments in the building and noticed that in one of the apartments, a couple had about a million Ferrets running around. which is gross to begin with, but anyway...we're not allowed to have pets in the building. So FH called the main office and they had a letter sent to the tenants saying either get rid of the pets, or you have 30 days to leave..Fast forward a few months. They were still in the Apt. so we just thought they got rid of the Ferrets..
Yesterday FH is coming home and calls me up screaming like a little girl. So i asked him why and he said ' I THINK THE FERRET PEOPLE ARE MOVING OUT!!!' so i freaked out! And we waited until they left and went down to the other Supers Apt. and they handed in their keys. FH and I went to look at it this morning and its MASSIVEEEEEE inside. 2 bedrooms, a dining room, big kitchen, living room with fireplace, 6 walk in closets, etc...
So now tomorrow Jimmys just going to make some phone calls to his boss (whos his uncle lol) and arrange for us to take the apt!!!
Which also means that a 1 bedroom apt (mine) will be availble. So if anyone is needing one I'll keep you all posted!!!!!!!

Now you can use the second bedroom to store all of your shower gifts lol!!

I know right! Thats what we were saying too..right now the few engagement gifts we got are in my parents basement lol..

oh us too with the e party gifts-- Trust me-- they're better in a room right near you!! All of ours are in our basement and when we took out xmas decorations I was like-- OMG-- i forgot that we had this!! lol out of sight out of mind!!

I'm right on the border of Garden City/Hempstead. but on the side of Garden City. Right across the street from Sacred Heart on Cathedral Avenue. Its a nice sceneic route to drive passed everyday! nice million dollar homes and right across the street from a major shopping center

that's awesome!! congrats!!! i know exactly how you feel, we're in a cramped one bedroom, and I can't wait til after the wedding to go house hunting. all of our engagement gifts and then shower gifts will be in his parent's basement til we find a house. good luck!!

Thanks girls!!! We went back into the apartment last night so I could take pics lol
We should hopefully know by this week if its ours. That way we can stay there and save up for a house
