Greece HM from SC

has anyone taken or going to the Honeymoon to greece given to you by the SC?? if so how was it, how long is that flight from NYC and what else did u do besides greece? how are the beahes etc.. any info will help HUB might agree to it but he would love to visit Italy as well is it far from there worh it??

I'm not sure on the details, but our friends who were married there last April took the HM to Greece in July of last year and they had an amazing time!

Greece is amazing!!! I am half Greek and went twice as a child to visit family and then the 3rd time for my college graduation present with my best friend. We spend 2 weeks in Santorini and Mykonos and then spent the last week with my family. The beaches are breathtaking! Santorini is definitely a honeymoon destination. The islands have large nice ferry's that take you from island to island. You could fly to Italy spend 1 or 2 nights there and then take a cruise or quick flight to greece if your fh wants to go there. Have you spoken with a travel agent for their recommendations?

I have not gone to travel agent yet.. I was just wondering since we are booking SC i wanted to see the most i can do.. and where are the spots to avoid/go

The plan for us is 2 nights in Athens, 3 nights at the SC honeymoon resort, 4 nights in London (I found super cheap non-stop flights from Crete to London for like 50 bucks, everywhere else they make you stop over in Athens it seems) and then chunnel it to Paris for 5 nights.

We really wanted to do Italy but decided we will do that as a separate trip the next year for about a week.

Of course this could all change until it is actually booked.

I thought the SC honeymoon was for 7 days???

i am thinking going to crete, ferry to mykonos for maybe 2 nights to party, back to crete fly to rome for maybe 3 days then to NYC from there..

I don't know what the SC honeymoon is - but if you can go to Santorini, you have to go there!!! FH and I went there a few years back and it's MAGICAL.

LOL. Definately check it out - it's so worth it. Most breathtaking sunsets you'll see.

It is 7 days but we asked Loula if we could do less and she said that wasn't a problem.

you can stay at Sand Castles Hotel--- its called the Aegean Palace-- the SC owners own it as well.

We are saving the trip for our one year anniversary!!!

Santorini is amazing!!!! Definently make a stop there if you go to Greece. The views of the Caldera are amazing. Mykonos is more of party island but its just as beautiful.

we are going in july!!

starting off in athens for a few nights (we have friends there). then we are going to crete. we havent decided if we will rent a car or just take bus trips. but we will mostly be there for relaxation.

then we are taking a non-stop flight to prague and plan to spend a few days there!!

My advice would be to spend the LEAST amount of time in Athens.. It is a dirty city, with stray animals everywhere.. good food, but the only thing to see if the Parthenon and then your done.

The islands are where the beauty is.. the beaches are awesome. Santorini is the most romantic... red sand beaches, black sand, white sand, you can visit the volcano, drive a scooter, beautiful sunsets at oia.. (google it)

Mykonos is also suppose to be great and its close to santorini by ferry.

If you are in the mood for an amazing party the island of ios is also close by and THE SICKEST PARTY AND BEACH ISLAND EVER! Everyone there is young and drunk and hilarious.

You get everywhere by ferry (from island to island) and hotels are reasonable!
