has anyone taken or going to the Honeymoon to greece given to you by the SC?? if so how was it, how long is that flight from NYC and what else did u do besides greece? how are the beahes etc.. any info will help HUB might agree to it but he would love to visit Italy as well is it far from there worh it??

ok so all these islands are accesible by ferry? we are starting off on Crete, so I am thinking like 2 nights in each island after that i love beaches, pools, and good food!!!
oia is where? is that a seperate island on its own?

I stayed in that hotel in Mykonos (not for a HM though) and it was great!!! Mykonos is awesome especially if you want to party! I also recommend Rhodes! They beaches were amazing! Went on an amazing snorkel trip there! I didnt stay in a hotel but there were a bunch along the beach and they looked really nice. You def have to see Santorini! its incredible!

We took the honeymoon this July!
We started with 3 nights in Paris, then went to Crete for 10 days. The resort is really nice--we had a private pool and a HUGE room. We were really looking forward to relaxing so we didn't rent a car (plus we would have no idea what the signs meant ) but we took day trips to Chania (the nearest city), Santorini and the Balos Lagoon. It was totally beautiful and relaxing--just what we needed after wedding planning!
We then did 2 nights in Athens. As a pp said, it was nothing special. I was a Classics major in college, so I was excited to see the Parthenon, but beyond that it was nothing special. We ended with 3 nights in Dublin, which was AWESOME!

ok so tell me if this iteneriary makes sense..
go to crete and stay at SC hotel ( 4 days) take ferry to sanotrini ( 2 days) from santorini take ferry to mykonos of oia? ( 2 days) take ferry back to Athens fly to rome ( 4 days) from rome to NYC
if another way makes more sense please let me know...

I went to Greece for 3 weeks in college. I am DYING to go back but don't think we could afford it... we stayed on Paros, which isn't a popular island like Mykonos or Santorini. Everything was cheaper and there was no paying for a chair on the beach or anything touristy... just beautiful and relaxed (and everyone speaks English)
If I got to go back I'd definitely look into smaller hotels on lesser-known islands. Hope you get to go, it's the best place EVER!!!

Hello!!! My FH and I are planning to take the greece HM and extend it by going to italy for a week. I have heard nothing but good about the place! My co worker iss from there and goes everyyear, she says its the perfect hm destination!: we are going to go to a travle angent soon to discuss it but the flights are. Not out yet!!
