FH and I booked on our own. We're doing 2 nights in Athens, 5 nights in Santorini and 6 nights in Mykonos. We spent about $6000. We did contact my travel agent-she came back with a price of about $8900 and that was for 12 nights, not 14. If you want specific info about the hotels we booked, FM me and I can pass on the info.

Wow, that's not entirely bad! I was expecting Greece to be way more. We haven't booked anything yet though because we're not going to go for almost a year after the wedding. We're going to skip Mykonos because we're not partiers, and replace it with Crete, and have pretty much the same itinerary, maybe a few more days in Athens and in the country, and less days on the islands. Would you mind FMing me as well?

We are going to greece, athens, santorini, ios, and paros. . we are paying about 5000 (not including flights b/c we did that with frequent flier) but the above trip includes. . two flights in greece, two ferries, and a hydrofoil , all transfers from ports to hotels (one hotel is about 45 min from the ferry etc) and 4 nights in a VERY luxury hotel - we really wanted to splurge on one place. . . also two night in athens I am using hotel points so the price is for 10 nights hotel, and all the above transportation . .
we also skipped mykonos b/c we didn't want the party vibe. ..

We're spending first two nites in Athens (Athens Gate hotel), then 3 nites in Mykonos (Mykonos Grace) and 3 nites in Santorini (Ikies) before heading back to Athens for one nite at the hotel near the airport which is apparently very nice (Sofitel Athens Hotel). I planned everything using www . tr ipadvisor.com - not sure what the total is but I think it's going to be close to $8,000

i used travel tom for greece, he was extremely patient and helpful. airfare alone will be around $3k (you also need to travel intra islands) then i really think the price can range depending on the type of hotels you are staying at. i would say expect to spend between 8 - 10k. not including food, etc. we are doing mykonos, santorini, and athens.

You're actually getting decent prices....I went to Greece (Athens, Rhodes, Mykonos and Santorini) for 2½ weeks back in 2001 and it was about $5,000 per person then.

We didn't want to squeeze in too many islands. We wanted to have some time to sight see and relax in each place. When we went to Hawaii we only did 4 days in each island and it didn't seem to be enough. Once day we may go back. Anyway, I searched through my emails and found all our travel info:
Airfare (from NY to Athens, athens to santorini, santorini to mykonos and mykonos to NY) just under $3000 for the two of us. We booked everything through travelocity and that price includes travel insurance for each of us.
Athens: we spending 2 nights at Divani Palace, I think it was around $300 for the two nights.
Santorini: 5 nights Hotel Villa ilias (don't have the price off hand)
Mykonos: 5 nights St Johns Hotel with a rental car (you can get a room with a car for the same price as just the room on their website-don't have the price off hand)

I did Athens, Mykonos & Santorini for 12 days and it cost close to $10k for air, hotel & the transfers between each place. It was last summer though and the fx rate for the Euro was much worse then it is now. God I wish I was still there lol. Santorini by far was the best place. I could live there!
