GREECE HONEYMOONERS - WHAT IS YOUR ITINERARY AND WHAT HOTELS?
Hey girls, I have noticed a ton of you are going to Greece for you honeymoon and we are too! How is the planning coming so far and what are all of your plans, itinerary, hotels, etc?

We are staying 2 nights in athens at the baby grand
We are staying 3 nights in Mykonos at the Mykonos grand
4 nights in Santorini at the Strass Residences
Totally looking forward to it! I need a vacation!!

We're not going to Greece on our honeymoon but we did get engaged there! Just wanted to wish you girls happy honeymooning! I loved every minute I was there, the food the culture! Wish I could have stayed longer! Enjoy!!!

We arent honeymooning in Greece but FH is from Greece so we have visited there a few times. In Athens we stayed at the Hotel Grand Bretagne - VERY nice and a five minute walk to the acropolis and across the street from the prime ministers building In Mykonos we stayed at the Mykonos Grand - another great resort Cant remember where we stayed in Santorini cuz it was a few years ago - but it's a BEAUTIFUL island. FH's family has a house in Chios so we never stayed in a Hotel there but its not much of a tourist island IMO.
Your going to LOVE Greece!!!

Athens- (2) at St G Lycabettus Crete- (4) at Elounda Village Santorini- (3) at Sun Rocks Mykonos-(3) at Mykonos Grand
Just trying to make it work financially
Anyone recommend an awesome travel agent w/ amazing deals??

Unfortunately I can't recommend as far as a hotel but i'm soooo excited since we leave in 28 days for our HM cruise!!!!
We spend the most time in Mykonos. I'm also looking for ideas.

The only travel agents I know of are Crown Peter (in Astoria) and Homeric Tours (check website for locations)...I don't know what they can do about amazing deals, but doesn't hurt to talk to them. Also, if you're only staying in Athens for 2 nights, you may want to consider a less expensive hotel...there's so much to do in Athens that you probably won't be spending that much time there anyway. Just a suggestion, of course.

Thanks a bunch! Yes we were looking to stay at more economical places in Athens and maybe even Crete, so we can splurge in Mykonos and Santorini But those were the cheapest hotel options in the Honeymoon packages we were offered.

Yayyayayayya, just got my first two stops in Greece all planned out. FIrst we will be in Santorini (relaxation after the wedding) at Villa Renos (with private outdoor jacuzzi) and then in Mykonos in Vencia Hotel. Basically, the best advice I could give after these couple crazy days of planning is make sure you are using tripadvisor becuase they rank the hotels, give reviews, etc. I went mostly by the ranking, I thinkt hose two were #1 and #2 and had nearly 5/5 stars in terms of travelers reviews! Some of teh reviews I read on 4/5 star hotels, both expensive and inexepsnive hotels, made me want cry for the people, so just be careful what you book!!!! Anyway, on to Athens now. I have attached a few pictures, first two is hotel in santorini and second two are the hotel in Mykonos!!! Yaya!!!
Oh and one last thing if you are planning yourself via email, make sure to negotiate wtiht he people, we got one discounted by 20 euros and one by 35!
Ugh, I am having such a hard time with Athens!!! I cant decide if we should stay in Plaka or the main squire MIniokyoiu... (no clue how to spell). Any idease?

We are planning to go to Greece during the second week of October for our honeymoon. The only drawback is that we have just one week (Sunday to Sunday). How many islands can we realistically visit in one week? I'm assuming Athens for 2 days and Santorini for 2 days. That leaves us 1-2 more days. Suggestions? Should we just stay in Santorini an extra day or would it be too rushed if we saw another island?
