'Greedy' registry items?

'Greedy' registry items?

My cousin's wife said 'you have to add more stuff to your registry, I printed one of them out and couldnt find anything we could all chip in on, you need to be more greedy!'

She was being sweet. I made sure alot of our registry items were $40-75 since that seems to be the norm.

So, I ask you girls... what were your big $$ items on your registry? To complicate things...we already got the vacum! And we aren't into crystal/china

We put expensive luggage and Calphalon and went for the more expensive flatware being that we didn't get china or crystal either.

haven't registered yet but i am planning on putting the kitchenaid mixer on...i know what you mean though it feels weird to put expensive things on ,but then if you think people are going to chip in for them you don't feel as bad...

We didn't register for crystal/china either. We did register for luggage (and received it). Mostly just towels, pots, pans, classes, etc. We already have 2 of everything.

Our most expensive items are a Wustof knife set ($299), vacuum($229), and pots ($199). Even with those items, I've got people telling me to put more expensive stuff on our registry.

Well, if you have registered for sheets, you can opt to increase the thread count, the higher the thread count the more expensive and comfy the sheets. (I would register for bedding at BBB instead of Target bc of the selections-JMO).

You can add the kitchenaid mixer that stands up, you have many different colors to choose from. It is available at Target and BBB. Or, you can register for a top of the line hand held mixer- that is what I did just because of space constraints.

If you have not registered for cookware yet, you can add an expensive set, perhaps one with copper bottoms. That would be a nice gift for everyone to chip in on for you.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I have registered but not made it public yet, I want to make sure that all of the items are below $100.

I inhereted my grandmothers china and my mom is giving usher waterford, so the really big ticket item is our vaccuum. I put a steamer on there that I really wanted and ended up buying for myself with my bday money .
I got told something similiar by the guy at bed bath and beyond, to register for everything even if we dont really need it.

My china is the most expensive when not on sale but my immediate family wants to buy that for us. My mixer is expensive but FMIL is buying that so everything else is all very reasonable. I did not want to put very expensive things on the registry.

its very considerate of you to be modest!
But if everyone insists, i would def. register for high end sheets and high end pots and pans.
Those two items are used everyday, so you want top of the line!
Appliances are nice, but to me i want ultra comfort when i sink into my bed after a long day!
As for the pots and pans, I love to cook and pots and pans are supposed to last a lifetime, so stick with a good brand and they will serve you well.
I suggest caphlon triply- its a 13 piece set for $400. BBB has em' so people can also use coupons to save a few bucks.

good luck!

I put a $500 Wine Fridge on there

Just want to add, that even if someone does not get it for you, the reason I put things on there that I wanted was we get 10% off after the wedding
