Olga- Unfortunately things have come up at the last minute and I have had to cancel my appt. w/Verdi twice so far!! First it was because of a wake FH and i had to go to and then FH had to have his wisdom teeth removed!!!! It's been so crazy this week!! But lucky for me my last day of work is tomorrow and I have the entire summer off!! I can't wait! Finally I can start planning again. I will be meeting with Verdi soon and I promise to let you know how it goes!

How is everyone else's planning going?

Congrats Demetra, this is such great news!

My planning has been put on hold for now....For those who dont know yet....I am no longer a 2004 bride...FI and I changed the date to Jan 9th 2005...because we decided the stress of law school and planning a wedding at the same time would be too insane, plus FI is taking the bar in July....so I am a bit relieved (I had 6 months to do everything ) yet also saddened at the same time...

The North Ritz was great about changing the date...which was a big relief...now, I get to hear about a lot more north ritz weddings before mine though

I hope everyone's planning is going well!!

I went to a wedding yesterday. They used the band Powerstation for music. They were so good. Just wanted to share incase anyone is still looking for a band.

Deby -- I used Arcadia Florists for my wedding. They are based in Mamaroneck. I loved my flowers and they were great to work with. The owner is named Sammy. (fyi: greek owned).

Deby- Which florist in the Bronx?

Today I met with Creative Compositions Photography. I absolutely love them!! Their work is amazing!! Exactly what I was looking for!!!! JoAnne was such a pleasure to work with and I also met with the owner of the company Ernie. I would really reccomend that if any of you girls are still looking for photo to check them out. Their showroom is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Every picture was gorgeous...I was there for over 2 hours! JoAnne and Ernie were very personable. I got the same vibe and energy from them that I got from Bill and Marie from Wild Rose...like I have known them for years! They are located in Oyster Bay. I noticed that they do a lot of Oheka brides. Almost every album that I saw the weddings were at Oheka. They are a reccommended vendor of Oheka and North Ritz Club. I am meeting with Verdi on Monday so we will see then. I really wanted to book CC on the spot!!!! But I also want to check out Verdi. I will keep you girls posted.

Olga-you should def. check them out if you haven't booked photo!!!!!!

junebride- I don't know their name yet. She is getting me their number (and name) this weekend (she knows the owner, but not what the actual shop is called). Have you picked a florist yet?

This is the first time I saw this thread.... too funny. June Bride - my father is from Kefalonia too - my grandmother still lives there.

I didn't end up marrying anyone Greek even though I used to go to all the YAL conference all over the country. It was funny to hear how everyone met their Greek FH - I tried it just never happened that way
