I'm starting to do some honeymoon planning and I'm trying to decide where to go (yes, FH is leaving all this up to me. What a great guy ). I had originally chosen Italy, because I'm Italian and LOVE Italy, but I've never been to Amalfi, Positano, that whole area. I just spoke with a travel agent and told her that I'm afraid that FH might be bored in Italy (he says he won't but I know him better). I doubt he'll enjoy shopping in quaint little towns and eating in nice restaurants. He's very hyper, likes to do sports and stay active. He just CAN'T relax (he said he'll try). The travel agent suggested we try Greece instead. She said there's a lot to see and do and it's also cheaper than Italy. But she didn't mention the Olympics and I didn't even think about that when I was talking to her. I'll have to call her later and ask about whether that'll be a problem.
Anyway, my question is, do you think there's enough to do on the Greek Islands? FH is not a big partier either, but it would be fun to go to a club or two (I'll have to drag him out). What places would you recommend? We'd be doing a 10-day honeymoon.
Thanks!!

Re: Greek brides - I need your advice
Marcela is going to Greece - you should FM her!
Here on the greek thread starts a dsicussion of hotels in greece
I would recommend Santorini for romance and nightlife. The beaches in Santorini are nice (but IMO not as nice as the beaches in some of the other greek islands I have been to). FH and I went to Rhodes this past summer and we had a blast. We stayed at the Hilton in Rhodes and it was incredible!! THe beaches were gorgeous and the nightlife was incredible. There is alot to do on this island. Corfu is another island I would recommend that has a lot to do and also beautiful beaches. FH and I went two years ago and we saw a lot of Italian tourists in Corfu. If you need any other info, feel free to FM me.
