Greek Orthodox & Catholic wedding

So I am Greek Orthodox and my fiance is Catholic and I know it is important for him to have some of the traditions (vows and exchange of rings) he would have had in his church.

Are there any Greek Orthodox churches that are a bit more lenient on customizing the ceremony? And of course, having most of it be in English so half our guests can understand what's going on!

Greek Orthodox & Catholic wedding

One of my bridesmaids is getting married three months after me and she is having a Greek Orthodox/Catholic ceremony at a church in Hempstead? I forgot the name, but she is doing precana for both churches, and can have her priest there as well.

St. Paul's in Hempstead possibly? That was the church I was going to look into so that's good to know. I know my FH would love to have a priest from his church there as well.

Greek Orthodox & Catholic wedding

Father Luke is a sweetheart. He was willing to marry FH and I and I'm protestant, fh is loosely Greek Orthodox.

Yes that's it! She said the whole process was a breeze and they were very accommodating.

Greek Orthodox & Catholic wedding

Fh and I are getting married at St. Paul's as well. I'm catholic and he is Greek Orthodox. Fr Luke is great and said he has no problem doing the ceremony in English. He just said there were a few things he would say in greek because he didn't like the English translation. He also said that it wouldn't be a problem if I wanted to have my priest be there and say a few words at the end. Fr Luke is not your average strict Greek Orthodox priest, which is what I loved about him. I was very worried in the beginning when fh and I were trying to decide on whether we were going to have a Greek Orthodox or catholic wedding, but once we spoke to fr luke, I felt more comfortable.
