Grocery shopping spinoff...

Do you check the receipt?

My DH whips out his fine tooth comb

I usally just scan to see what was on sale so I can say things like, ' ooh, we got free chicken!'. .but I had to stop doing that, b/c DH gets suspicous when chicken is on a twofor sale.

i monitor the montior thing when each item is scanned (doing the same thing, just not looking at tiny paper)

by time i get to the front, i usally off within 10 dollars of final cost (not including tax)
so it inst a surprise, unless of course its cheapier

Yeah I glance at it. But a Costco's receipt, I examine it a little more.

Never! Hmmm not sure if that means I am trusting or lazy - probably the latter I am such a pushover that unless it was big $$$ that I was owed, I probably wouldn't say anything anyways

I also check the scanner as it goes through. I am usually very close to the dollar amt when estimating so unless there is a huge difference in my head, I don't question.

I look at the receipt briefly when I'm walking out, but other than that I'm satisfied that it's right.

same- if something is one sale- I watch to make sure it comes up

I always check the receipt when I get home. I've found some mistakes and will go back to the store to get it corrected. Sometimes I'll check it in the store, but I can't be bothered with standing by the doors checking it while people are jockeying around me to get out.

You'd think my DH was worried the store overcharging him by about a million $$$ the way he scours the receipts!

sometimes. my job at the store is to watch the cashier scan stuff and make sure sale items scan at the sale price

i watch the register when they scan the items and then i usually look over the receipt to make sure nothing was double-scanned (which has happened to me several times before).

I try to pay attention as they scan stuff. But I do also check the receipt - usually if there is a mistake I don't go back though...so i probably should just ignore the receipt.

This is what I do I just look as they scan (to make sure I get my sale items) while FH bags it
