Groom Cake Dilemma...Advice pleaaase!

So we're in the middle of trying to order our grooms cake and getting that out of the way. I have been emailing with 2 different vendors, one recommended by my DOC. One is in Staten Island and quoted us $100 more than the one my DOC recommended. It would also cost another $100 just to deliver it. She has been very quick and helpful with responding to my emails.

The other vendor is in Brooklyn and is soooo slow with answering emails. I called the bakery and she was on vacation. Fine. But now that shes back, shes still not quickly responding to my emails. She wants to set up an appt with me for Sunday and I responded with a time thats good for me and the email bounced back cuz her mailbox was full! Luckily I tried later on in the day and it went through but she hasnt responded yet.

What would you do? Suck it up and pay the extra $100 on a vendor that seems to know what she is doing or keep wasting time with the other just to save $$?

id go for the one who knows what she is doing, but maybe look around a little more first just in case?

i think you still have a little time to decide. Would you be saving $200 since there is a delivery fee with the first vendor on top of being $100 more? If so then i would wait to hear from the other bakery. What good things did your DOC say about this vendor? I would skip emailing and just call the person directly to set up the appointment. HTH!
BTW what design are you getting?

i havent been quoted a delivery fee yet from the vendor in brooklyn but i cant imagine it being alot. i had called up but that was when she was on vacation. if she doesnt email me by tomorrow afternoon i'll definitely call.

I would still give the Bklyn vendor a shot. Like you said, she was on vacation so I have to imagine her mailbox is full plus she's trying to catch up on stuff while she was away. Additionally, I find you might get a quicker response if you just call there. She might be too busy (meaning they're good!) with other clients to sit in front of the PC answering emails, if you know what I mean.

Any potential vendor which streeses me out, I don't go with. I'd spend the extra $ and work with the one who's on top of stuff. HTH!
