Groom Gift

Any ideas on a wedding gift for the groom???

we talked about it - we want some sort of small token- even exchange

teddy bears
monkey stuffed animals

his mom wants him to get me something like jewelry which i do not want and he knows it so hopefully she does not go out and buy it for him for me ...

meanwhile, i found these silly green fish shaped cufflinks and tea clip for like 5 dollars on amazon and i think i will give him those with a bag of gold fish crackers!

im getting FH all new skiiing equipment.

also, since i wasnt able to find the exact watch i wanted to get him as an engagement gift, i'll going to surprise him with a watch the morning of (well his bro will surprise him) lol

We didnt do wedding gifts, we decided the wedding was our gift to each other.

BUT, if I had gotten DH a gift it would have been a pocket watch, something that would be engraved and he could keep and pass down later.

he sent me flowers th day of and i suprised him with a cigar roller at the wedding

it was a huge hit and alot of people on here feel like its not worth the oney..but it is..every penny

my DH is a HUGE cigar smoker..knows all about it and is very picky and really into the culture of it..so it wasnt just something that i wasted money on..it was perfect for him


only problem was it was such a hit that people took a lot and DH only smoked one and had one left ovr to save

where did you get the custom cufflinks??? I would love to do that but it seems they only engrave initials...I want to put a message...

I got them from cufflinks.com

I emailed Brendan from there a couple of times before I got them done, and he was pretty helpful. I sent him a picture of what I was looking for....it's the Superman shield with an R inside instead of an S. (I'm not sure if they can fit a message on a cufflink, but I guess you can ask). my only disappointment was that I asked for our wedding date to be engraved on the back, but when I got it, it wasn't done. They refunded me the $ for it and said I can still return it and have it done for no charge + they would refund me for return shipping costs, but that seems to be a lot of trouble and I haven't found the time to do it yet. I might just leave it as is, because other than that, I'm thrilled with how it looks!

Yes, that is our cake topper...I just ordered it last week. FH loves penguins too and incorporated it into his proposal, so I thought it'd be a really cute/personal touch. It's from penguin cake toppers

Those goblets are adorable too!

ive heard of soo many things... tvs, watches, rings (pinky) cuff links, also the picture cuff links are nice as well, a bracelet, xm radio for their car...etcetc

Thank you so much for that link. I found exactly what I wanted. We got engaged right after the Super Bowl and they have all silver Giants cuff links. I wanted that over the blue and white ones that would clash with the black tux. We are weaving Giants touches into many areas of the wedding and I'm so excited to have another way of getting out favorite team to be a part of our day. I also saw awesome Batman ones, which was our first date and my FH always refers to the Bourne Mansion as Wayne Manor. But I think the Giants ones will be the best fit.
