I really wanted to get him an Omega watch that he really wanted. My plan was to give it to him the morning of but wasn't able to get it. I had $0 money left so we completely decided not to get eachother weddings gifts.

Re: Groom Gift

I actually found a website www.americanbridal which has a really nice watch box. My FH has so many watches I thought this was nice but this morning he told me that he wants to get me a diamond necklace so I think this might be to cheap...I do not know what to do...I really would love a diamond necklace but I do not want him to spend too much money we already spent too much on the wedding.

I have been working on a scrap book for my FH. He doesn't know about it, so on the day of our wedding, I plan on wrapping it up and giving it to him as my gift to him. It is really cute and walks through our history... I love it and wanted my gift to him as personable as possible.

Lizlen: I got my FH the same kind of gift for our engagement. Orginally I had bought the bracelet for his Bday which is this month, but in Dec the bracelet I wanted for him was on sale at Zales and bought it early. Well after he proposed, I couldn't hold off and thought it would be a perfect gift for our engagement, so I gave it to him that very same day. He couldn't understand how I had a gift so soon for him. Little did he know it was intended for his Bday.. hehehe... but now I have to think of something for his BDay coming up at the end of the month.

Keep the ideas coming! I am also making a scrapbook our our courtship. FH saw me collecting stuff but he doesn't know that I am giving it to him at our RD. The only thing I can think to get him is this awesome wooden chest he saw in a local furniture store. Unfotunately, I'm not sure I have the extra $$ to get him something so extravagant.

Re: Groom Gift

We decided that we are not going to get each other gifts. Actually he decided it, and I agreed. We are spending way to much money this year, with having a house built, the wedding, the honeymoon and we have 4 other weddings to go to this year.

Vinny is a HUGE sports fanatic and has claimed the basement of our future house for a memorabilia room. So I got him a bunch of autographed sports memorabilia for his fantasy basement.

I want to get him something personal. I had gotten him a cross for our engagement party with three stones going across the horizontal part of the cross. The one on the right was his mother's birthstone (she passed away) the middle was his birthstone and the left is my birthstone. He lost it in the hospital and is really upset. I may get him a replacement.

Re: Groom Gift

I gave Al cufflinks as his wedding gift.

Christy - he has a guitar already, though for our 1st anniversary next month, I'm thinking of getting him a Martin Backpacker travel guitar. He always cries when we go to NY that he wishes he had his guitar with him...poor baby.
