Groom needs some advice

Getting married in 8 days need some help. Need some suggestions from all you wonderful Brides to be. What would you consider to be a special gift the day of the wedding ? And any thoughts on how to make the night of the wedding special and romantic. Sorry if this seems silly or stupid. Just wanted some suggestions.

Thanks

This is the cutest post ever!! Congrats groom to be!
Does your FW have all of her jewelry for the wedding yet? Maybe a nice bracelet or something like that?
Congrats again!!

Thanks, she does. Is a normal gift jewelry ? I always have a hard time trying to pick something out by myself.

Best gift that was given to a bride in a wedding I was in was a beautiful letter, 3 dozen white roses. She already had her jewelry, the flowers were nice to have for the after wedding decor, and the letter was something that brought tears to all of our eyes... she couldnt wait to see him at the altar after that...

Congrats!!!!!

maybe im easy to please but i wouldnt find anything sweeter than a love note with a message from the heart about how youre feeling that day, etc. Maybe you could put that with a piece of jewelry or something.

I agree. A heartfelt letter is exactly what I would want that morning.

if you go and order from a store, they will def help you or you could take your or her mom, or if you have a sister (depending on fam) for input.

I'm with the girls. Have a nice card brought to her...make her fall in love with you all over again!

you're very sweet for taking the time to get some opinions -- I'm sure you'll be able to write her something she'll love!

congrats and good luck!!

I agree..a really sweet letter would probably mean the most to me because I'd know it came directly from FHs heart and wasn't influenced by some sales lady or whatever. Or you could always make her something?

candles and rose petals are pretty romantic... and a nice hot bubble bath.
But from what I hear its not too uncommon to pretty much just get undressed and pass out after a wedding

I like the letter idea w/ some type of flowers , Should i give it to her Mother to giver to her in the morning ? Or should i give it to her myself ? You Gals are great.

I wouldn't worry about the night of too much...especially if you're having the reception till 12:30 or 1am and then are leaving for a honeymoon. More than likely you'll be exhausted!

if you're staying at a hotel the wedding night why not have a nice breakfast sent up to the room the next morning.

for the night of, if you wanted to have something maybe save the flowers for the room and have some champagne and strawberries?

I know my brother brought my SIL to tears with the surprises he did on their wedding day. He had 3 dozen white roses delivered the house while the girls and her were getting ready and then at one point called me to tell her that he thought he forgot his cuffings in his draw next to the bed. When she opened the draw to check there was a note that said 'I love you and I can't wait for you to be my wife' with rose petals all over a box with diamond stud earrings. She didn't wear them that day but she wears them all the time now.

I think while you guys are getting ready day-of, you could send your best man over w/ the letter and flowers.

too sweet

for night, maybe a bottle of champagne, few candles, and you could have them put rose petals around. ive even heard of setting it up so your first dance song is playing when you walk in. just an idea. tho you guys will prob be exhausted.

HOW NICE!

Definitely a heartfelt letter......and if its in the budget, something shiny!

Do you know what jewelry she's wearing the day of?

If you don't know, or just want to give her something nice (not necessarily to wear day-of), maybe just some simple diamond studs? They never go out of style.

Re: Groom needs some advice

my best friend just got married and her hubby gave me her gifts to give her. He got her a coach watch that shes wanted. Then at Things Remembered they got their unity candle and cake server so we got her the matching frame in an 8x10 and printed up a really sweet poem! It was really sweet! Then we engraved on the frame Amazed By You and the date. (Amazed by Lonestar was there 1st song as Mr. & Mrs)
He also sent her roses to the hotel room!

You are so sweet!!!!!! I hope my FH thinks like you for our wedding day!!!

Ok, I think you should DEFINITELY write her a beautiful, sweet, romantic love letter. Give it to her Maid of Honor at the rehearsal dinner with strict instructions to not give it to your bride until the morning/day of the wedding. Maybe she can give it to her when the photographer arrives so that he can capture her expression when she receives it.

As for a gift besides the note, I think that jewelry would be great. Even if she doesn't wear it for the wedding day, if it's something classic that she can wear afterwards, that would be nice. My best friend received a Tiffany silver bracelet from her husband for their wedding. If she likes pearls, a lovely necklace would be nice. If you have the money and she doesn't have them already, diamond studs would be awesome.

As for the night of the wedding, unless you're having a day wedding, I wouldn't do much more than have the bed full of rose petals, lots of candles in the room, and a bottle of champagne. I also REALLY like the idea of a nice breakfast the next morning (maybe a beautiful breakfast in bed).

Congratulations! Please come back and let us know what you decide and how it turned out!!!
