If you are having a grooms cake where are you doing it? At first I was planning on having it at RD, but now Im thinking I want everyone to see it at reception. Please let me know where you are having it.

Re: Grooms Cake
I mentioned a grooms cake to the 'ol FI and he said 'why would people want 2 pieces of cake.' I can't really answer that... I thought it was a good question actually - I just wanted another cake!

Re: Grooms Cake
traditionally grooms cakes were a type of fruit cake or liqour not supposed to be eaten at the reception. they were boxed and given to guests to take home and eat. myth is single girls put it under their pillows (or something like that) and then they will meet mr right. I thought since we are having red velvet chocolate cake w/ cream cheese filling we could offer guests a choose (making grooms cake w/ white cake and fruit filling).

Re: Grooms Cake
i think we are having it at the reception - FH is diabetic, so whatever I get, it'll be sugar-free.
