Re: Grooms cake

I checked to make sure it was a real cake. It doesn't even look like you can eat it!! But it says it is real, fondant icing. I hope I can find one at a bakery that will look just as nice.

Re: Grooms cake

it really doesnt look real. Its amazing what a bakery chef can do.

When FI and I looked at our hall they were setting up for a wedding and the cake had flowers on them, the flowers were sugar. they looked so real. we had to literally get up close to look at it.

the pool table is awesome. i hope you find a bakery that can do it

Re: Grooms cake

i wish i knew where you could call. do you work in the city? when i was working with Amex and it was the yankees against the mets in the world series this woman had ordered a huge sheet cake and had yankee stadium and shea stadium on the cake and that was even made out of cake. so i am guessing she had it made from a bakery in the city

i have no idea where i'll get mine from

I'm getting John a cake in the shape of a football helmet decorated like the Minnesota Vikings. John has a really bad obsession with them. I mean really bad.

Where are you all getting your cakes from and how much do they cost?

Re: Grooms cake

I'm going to try Create a Cake. It's out in Port Jefferson on LI. They make beautiful cakes there. I hope they can do the pool table. I'll let you know what I find out.

Re: Grooms cake

I went to Swan Bakery and they said about $50 for the tux cake. It really is a simple one..just a sheet cake with a little frosting on top!

Nanjoe-I just did a search on google and typed..grooms cake and had lots of sites to look through!
