Grooms Cake

Is anyone doing a grooms cake? When do you usually have the grooms cake the reception or rehearsal dinner?

I want to have an ESPN cake, my FH loves all sports. I want to have it at the RD.

I'm either getting a yankees or giants cake for him. I will give it to him at the RD. Now the only problem is that he really LOVES ice cream cake and I want to try to find out if that will be at all possible to be done.

Does anyone know how much they cost?

I think i want to have a cake of FH's car. It's like his 2nd GF. So are the Yankees so maybe i can incorporate that too.

I am not a fan of a groom's cake I don't think it is necessary and I want us to only share and have one cake at our wedding. My friend did it at her reception when they brought out their cake. It was a Mets cake, b/c he loved the mets....Just not my thing.
