Re: grooms cake?
If we were doing one, it would have been at the rehearsal dinner, but instead I chose the dessert kart option cus I figured there would be enough cake at the wedding. LOL! I hope FH doesnt care!

I didnt do one........i just think he would rather me do something else for him then get him a cake in the shape of something he likes
it doesnt mean those who are doing it for their fh, it will be the only thing they do for their FH lol. I want to get a groomscake but i will also give him a gift before the ceremony. The cake isnt THE gift to guys but just a little something to show their personality. SO much of the wedding is about the girl, i want something about him to be present, bc the flowers, placecards, and all that wont be about him. THe cake is just a little bonus

He looks at it like cake is cake....it either tastes really good, or it doesnt...he could care less what its shaped like on the outside, or designed for for him with extra sepcial colored icing.... he just wants it to be yummy.. I didnt think those who chose to do it arent doing anything else for their FH. I know its a bonus...
.Im just saying I know FH would want a different kind of bonus..... then a specially shaped cake just for him. Its a nice gesture though.

well everybody is different, if its something a guy wouldn't want then there is no need to get it. MY fh was very into even the design of the cake we have and hes the one who picked a design for each tier of our cake. Plus he wants anything yankees we can do at the wedding, so trying to throw in as much yankees things as i can

Re: grooms cake?
I did a grooms cake from audreys. IT was out of this world and honestly my DH absolutely loved it he knew he was having one and thought it was a waste of money ....then at the wedding it was displayed during our reception and he absolutely loved it , he couldnt get over it and weeks later is still raving about it as well as the males at the wedding !!!!!!!!!!! It was worth every cent ....however there is absolutely nothing wrong with not doing one
