grooms cake?
this is probably a dumb question but when do you have the grooms cake? the rehearsal dinner or the actual wedding?

I think you can do it either time. I am doing it at the rehearsal dinner. And if you are looking for someone, Lady J's Cakes - AMAZING! I hired her to do the groom's cake and then it just so happened my mother hired her for my shower this past weekend and I am so happy with my choice! The lemon cake is out of this world!
my fiancee makes cakes and she brought a grooms cake to the actual wedding one time. most people on here have mentioned doing it at the Rehearsal which makes sense because you already have a cake at the wedding! lol
At a wedding I was at this past weekend they had a grooms cake. I'm planning on doing one for the rehearsal though, we're already having cake and a VH at the reception and I don't want everyone on sugar overload lol.
I had DH's as a surprise for him at the wedding. it was a huge hit and all our guests got a real kick out of it. i didn't get a cake big enough to serve the whole wedding. i planned on having it served to our parents and the BP tables only, but DH loved it so much that he asked it not get served at all and he has been eating it since (which i think is kind of gross but he says it still tastes good)
I had mine at the wedding...it was great
I don't know when I should have it :( my bff/moh insisted I have it at the wedding lol.
I think either is fine.
