Grooms Cake
Is anyone esle doing this?January 5th, today actually lol is my FH birthday. So at our wedding He will have just turned 30 so I want to do a Grooms/Birthday cake and sing to him at the wedding with ALL of our friends and family there I know he will hate me for it but I love the idea. I've been trying to think about what kind of cake to do...Most likely Giants because he is a football nut. But Idk trying to think of something more original.
If I can get Super Bowl tickets to Metlife Stadium for the Superbowl no matter who is in it that year which is my goal for his 30th bday and wedding gift then I would just get a small giants cake and put the tickets with it I think any man would be happy with that! haha
what are other ideas for grooms cakes? I'd say the usual are video games, super heros, sports, hobbies, movies, musical stuff...I feel like there are so many more ideas for girls!

Grooms Cake
I thought a grooms cake was suppose to be based on a man's hobbies. I personally thought of us having a theme based cake instead of a traditinal cake since I like the idea of being different.

Grooms Cake
I plan on presenting my FH with the grooms cake at our RD. He's REALLY into horror movies. I was going to have a cake that looks exactly like a wedding cake, but the bride and groom are zombies. I know he'll get a kick out of it.

Grooms Cake
I'm thinking of surprising FH with the grooms cake at the RD also. He's really into poker so I'm going to see if I can get a cake in the shape of a poker table decorated with poker chips and maybe have the cards be the king & queen of hearts or his favorite hand.

I hadn't even thought about this. How would you present at RD? When it is time for dessert just bring it out and say this is for you? I would love to do this!

I was hoping to get it to wherever we have it ahead of time by either having a bridesmaid do it or having whichever baker I book with deliver it (depending on how big the cake ends up being!) Then I would have the place bring it out at dessert time as a surprise
I haven't spoken to any bakers or restaurants about this, but in my head this is how it will go lol. I know some restaurants let you bring in your own dessert for people's birthdays, so I don't see why not for RD! My FSIL brought her own cake in for her RD in Arizona!

Grooms Cake
I'm doing it... but it's a surprise! He is the biggest football fan I have ever met and I'm not a big football fan... He wanted to incorporate Giants colors into our wedding and I was against it because I am not a big fan of the bright blue... So I am getting him a groom's cake to resemble a NY Giant's helmet =)

That is so awesome. My FH is a geek! I could get him a super cute Marvel/Superhero cake! Ah the ideas are flooding into my brain now. I just didn't know how I would go about presenting it at the RD.
