Groom's Cake

for the wedding or rehearsal dinner?
I have gotten mixed answers on this. Does it matter or is it personal preference?

Cake designed after the grooms interests..

No everyone does one..
Sometimes it sits next to the wedding cake..
other times it's given at the e-party or rehearsal dinner

I'm doing mine at the rehearsal dinner because his cake is going to be less formal. I'm having someone make up a cake in the shape of a firetruck and I found a website that has adorable cake toppers of fireman (in their gear) carrying a bride. Too cute

I don't think it matters...It's more preference.

I did his cake at the RD (and he surprised me with a Bride's cake lol)

I presented a groom's cake at the RD because there was no other cake to overshadow it. But it's a personal preference.

i am having a grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner. i wanted to do something nice for FH & i think he'll really appreciate it.

its certainly NOT mandatory. personal preference.

I am doing it. My FMIL is mailing me pics of FH when he was a little kid and I am going to have one of those picture cakes made to surprise him at the RD.
