Grooms cake for rehearsal dinner

So I'm starting to think of things I need to do for the rehearsal dinner ( ) and I want to get my FH a special cake. He loves his computer, so I could always have them do something like that. But I was wondering if I'm just not reaching enough and I could perhaps be more creative... what are some things you girls are doing??

I was thinking maybe his fave movie
...fave sports team

I just don't know...

this may sound ridiculous, but i never heard of a groom's cake till i came on to LIW.. do alot of people do it???

My MOH (his sis) got married about 3 years ago and she had one... it was an exact replica of his beloved car. It was such a huge hit and it was perfect b/c he's so obsessed with cars. Then I got engaged a year later and started hitting up this website and saw a lot of girls do it. My MOH was the only wedding I've been to that had it, but I've heard so many girls do it.

And since FH saw it, he wants one! He tells me it's his day to feel special since I get the wedding day!

No. It more of an old fashioned idea that is coming back in vogue.

I just decided to do a groom's cake for FH too He loves his Starbucks so I am going to do as 3-D cake that looks like one of their cups. It was hard to decide though since he's not into sports, I was thinking og doing something with beer (he is a coniseuar of beer ) and he loves all sorts of Sci-FI stuff, but he'll get a kick out the coffee

ahhhhhh, i see!! sounds like a cute idea!

I posted a pic of a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs cake FH is itialian and only likes his mom's sauce..yadda yadda....so it is perfect for him...not sure how much it will cost though
